 The J.J. Lee Tae Kwon-Do Schools were founded in Korea in the 1950’s by Grand Master Joon Jae Lee.
During the 1950’s and 1960’s, the J.J. Lee Tae Kwon-Do schools expanded throughout Korea and various locations throughout the world. Grand Master Lee eventually established his first Canadian school in Calgary, Alberta, Canada in 1970, making our school, the J.J. Lee Tae Kwon-Do School, Western Canada’s oldest established Tae Kwon-Do school.
The headquarters of the J.J.Lee Tae Kwon-Do schools, and the World IIn Tae Kwon Martial Arts Federation have been at our existing location, in Calgary, since 1973.
